ABOUT THE EVENT

If you feel called to be an evangelist, join us at the Evangelists Conference Scotland to fellowship and network with other evangelists. Be inspired and encouraged by speakers and fellow practitioners whom we believe have a ‘word in season’ for a ‘time such as this’. If you are pastorally supporting evangelists, we’d love for you to join us.

An Evangelist?

"He gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers..."

Not every evangelist stands on a stage; not every evangelist stands on a street corner.

If you feel called to do the work of an evangelist, come to the Evangelists Conference Scotland this year.

The Conference

This coming January, evangelists will gather from all over Scotland to network and leave recommissioned for the year ahead.

Take time and stop, reposition, and reflect.

Guy Pembroke
Evangelist

Guy Pembroke serves as an evangelist based with King's Church Edinburgh. He learned to make disciples who make disciples in Dublin and Peru, prior to returning to Scotland where he developed Path of Disciples, a Gospel tool used by various churches in Scotland and beyond. In the Path of Disciples, groups of three or four meet for four sessions, at a time that suits them; many have come to understand the Good News of Jesus and become disciples of Christ. His service includes training others in evangelism through Street Café teams. He helps to lead a church plant in the north of Edinburgh and enjoys leading cake walks in the Scottish hills.

Try Praying

Trypraying is a story. It's a macro one affecting towns, cities and even countries. It's a micro one affecting thousands of individuals' lives. From a simple idea 15 years ago something special has been rolling out. Trypraying is an invitation for people to experience the kindness of God, it's a resource for individuals to experience it, a project for churches to share it, and advertising for everyone to see it.

Paul-James-Griffiths.jpg
Paul James-Griffiths
Director of Christian Heritage Edinburgh

Since moving from London to Edinburgh in 2004, Paul pioneered Christian Heritage Edinburgh and Soul of Scotland Tours. He has also pioneered Street Cafe, which is a means of sharing the gospel in busy locations through informal discussions over hot drinks. Since he started the first one near the University of Edinburgh, at least 35 teams have sprouted up in 5 nations. Many Christians who have been on our teams have discovered that evangelism in this relaxed way can be fun, natural, encouraging and upbuilding. Street Cafe works really well in our culture, in which people are open to discuss Christ in a gentle way through meaningful dialogue. By this means thousands of people are hearing the gospel and some turn to Christ through it. It is also a simple and effective way of training up churches in evangelism, and we particularly love to see Street Cafe teams being embedded in local churches, reaching their own local people with the gospel. Our hope is that Street Cafe teams will multiply throughout Scotland, the UK, and beyond.
